Daniel Phillip Henney (born November 28, 1979 in Carson City, Michigan, USA) is an American actor and model in South Korea. His father is British and his mother is a Korean-American adoptee. Henney debuted in 2001 as a fashion model while he was attending college. Later he worked in various countries including UK, France, Italy, Hong Kong for a short period of time. In South Korea he also debuted as a spokesman of Amore Pacific's cosmetic "Odyssey Sunrise" in Autumn 2004. For the advertisement, he received ₩50,000,000 ($52,000). Despite speaking no Korean, Henney became a household name through the South Korean hit TV drama, My Name is Kim Sam Soon. Following his success in Sam Soon, he has continued to work as a professional actor. Henney was a part of an academic scandal in which many sources stated that he had an Economics degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago to bolster his image, while in actuality he had no college degree. He did not graduate. In 2009, he portrayed Agent Zero in the film X-Men Origins: Wolverine. In the fall of 2009, he will play Dr. David Lee in the CBS television Drama, "Three Rivers".
