JOURDAN DUNN












Jourdan Dunn (born 3 August 1990 in London, England) is a British fashion model. She was discovered shopping in Primark in 2006 and signed to Storm Management in London shortly thereafter. In 2008, she was the first black model to walk a Prada runway in over a decade. Dunn made her runway debut in the New York shows in the fall of 2007, walking in shows for Marc Jacobs and Polo Ralph Lauren, among others. In 2007, she was featured on British Vogue as a "new star," and in 2008 Style.com listed her as one of the top 10 newcomers. In July 2008, she appeared on the cover of the Italian Vogue issue devoted entirely to black models, and was shot for an editorial in American Vogue the same month. She was featured on the cover of British Vogue's November 2008 issue and has recently graced the covers of i-D (September 2008 & March 2009), Pop, Sunday Times Style twice, Luella magazine , ASOS.com magazine, Elle France & the May 2009 "Faces of the moment" issue of American Vogue shot by Steven Meisel. Dunn has modelled for Gap, Topshop, Benetton, H&M and Saks Fifth Avenue. In November 2008, Dunn was named "Best Model of the Year" at the British Fashion Awards. Dunn was reported to have walked over 90 shows during the Spring 2009 season. She can currently be seen in the advertising campaign for YSL La Nuit de L'Homme Fragrance opposite Vincent Cassel.
